Thick shelves and drop-down rectangle hanging rails?

So, Lisa Adams has been doing a lot of thick shelves and rectangle drop down type hanging rails. What are your thoughts?

Also, some of you may have noticed that I've changed the commenting system on my blog. This was to include the CommentLuv feature which allows you to have a link to their latest post displayed at the bottom of your comment. However, if it causes too much trouble to you guys I will roll back to the old system. So do let me know :)
