Master bedroom progress ...

I've managed to make a bit of progress on the master bedroom. The Ikea dressing table was latest most recent purchase and it is a perfect fit for that little wall :)

And you can finally see those lamps in action. 

The quilt cover set you see in these photos I bought recently. Since we don't have a clothes line or a dryer, I air dryer on this clothes airer. I stretched it across and when it dried it had 4 "dimples" :( ... I couldn't be bothered ironing it, so I stretched the throw over it instead *shy*. Hope the "dimples" come out in the next wash :S

Also, I think the pillow cases that came with the set are king size, because our pillows are "swimming" in them ... Might need to buy some king size pillows after all  ....

I haven't been using the dressing table since there is no mirror on it ... I was thinking of this Ikea one but am wondering if I should go with something bigger so it leans on the wall? What do you think?

So what do you think of my master bedroom styling? Be honest though. I would love to hear your thoughts on how to improve it. Also, any suggestions regarding the rug, artwork above the wall and curtain suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

New lamps. Take 2 :)

Look what we found on clearence at our local Bunnings. They were a deleted item and therefore heavily discountinued. They are still a bit too small for our bedside tables + bed combo but they will do for now.

By the way, I returned the textured base lamps I blogged about recently.

Do you LOVE your bedside table lamps?

Below is a photo of bedside table lamps I like the most, out of the ones I've ever seen... However, even they are not perfect :( .... The light coloured lamp shades are not white but linen ... and the RL ones have brass hardware ... I am now considering not returning the ones I recently purchased and instead keeping them.... Because, realistically speaking, I don't think I am likelly to find bedside tables I love.

Do you love your bedside tables in every possible way? Are you supposed to?

Lamps. Keep or return?

I picked up our bedside tables yesterday and lamps today. 

When I brought the lamps home I realised the shade is actually off white (kind of yellowish?) and not pure white ... Our walls are Dulux Whisper White and the quilt cover is pure white ... What do you think of them being off white? Are they too small? Keep, or return and keep looking?

Don't you love my throw "styling"? LOL. Please forgive me - I have lots to learn :)

Woud either of these lamps work with this bedhead?

We will be buying a new bed/bedhead soon and this is the sort of thing I am considering (both style and colour). Would either of the bedside table lamps below work with this style of bedhead?

The first lamp measures 30cm W x 38.5cm H but also comes in a 37.5cm W x 51cm H version. However the latter might be a bit too big?

The second lamp is 35cm W x 52cm H.
