Last week I helped throw a little outdoor baby shower for a good friend of mine. She's also having a baby girl. My little girl-on-the-way is going to have so many friends!
I made this floral backdrop by basically creating a bunch of pinwheels using this tutorial. I used cardstock instead of paper which I wouldn't really recommend since it's a lot harder to fold. But since we were doing this outdoors I wanted the pinwheels to withstand the weather. It was actually a little windy so I'm really glad they were strong and secure.
I got the idea from this pin from a display done by Snow and Graham.
I already had a giant piece of black foam core which is what I hot glued the flowers to. But you could use any piece of wood and just paint it black or cover it in fabric.
(If you live in Utah my brother has some of this giant foam core for sale if you are interested in any.)
For the invitation I kept it pretty simple. I modeled the invite after this one that I loved on Pinterest. I just made it in Powerpoint using different fun fonts.

I loved these little easel food labels. I'll be posting a tutorial on how to make them tomorrow so stay tuned!
The idea for these food containers came from Michelle from 4 Men and a Lady and this post. I think my favorite thing about this idea is that you can have out large amounts of food without taking up a lot of table space.
I saw this idea on Pinterest as well from Copy Cat Chic and thought it was a great way to label the flavored water we had. I ordered a yard of this fabric to bring some color to the drink table.
This was sooo yummy.
To see past baby showers I've thrown go here and here.
