Pinkspiration...only a touch of pink will do

Like Audrey Hepburn said "I believe in pink", but just a bit is enough.

Hope your day is fabulous and somewhere along the line it includes pink bubbles or pink milk (depending on your age and sensibility) for all of us.

don't you love...a little romance

I just had to include these pretties somewhere.  Not that romance has to be so pink, I like a dark masculine romantic style too.  These will keep me inspired as I tackle my mirror project this weekend.
I love pink and green together, nature just does it best, so fresh and pretty.  A gorgeous photo of my favourite flower via A Rosy Note, on right a detail by Phoebe Howard
Isn't this the prettiest shoe storage you have ever seen?  Would be so pretty in a dressing room, of course you would need to have lots of pretty shoes and somewhere to hide the not so lovely ones.  Detail from Style Me Pretty.
A fabulous centrepiece with simple flowers and spray painted tins in bronzes and copper tones.  I am collecting tins for my own experiment. (This was via Shelterness but the link appears to have disappeared.)
This eclectic gallery (left) was pinned by my sister, it probably reminds us both of our mom who makes wonderful crazy arrangements like this all over her home.  Loving the mix of distressed mirror and that incredible geometric dresser (via Home Polish on right).  If you know where that dresser is from let me know, its incredible and I would love to know more about it.

Have a lovely weekend.

don't you love...a little bit of glamour

It's very seldom that I post a whole article from somewhere else but I just could not decide which of these images not to include.  It's pink (it seems I am still having a pink moment) and glamorous and perfectly styled, it's quirky and unique and slightly over the top.  It's the home of mother of 4 Christine Dovey who blogs aBijou and Boheme.  Read the entire article with more pics on Style at Home.

Those light fittings are seriously off the charts fabulous and crazy!  Makes me even more mad that I missed out on a crazy mid century chandelier at auction last year.
Love the layers of pinks and textures, the warm rug and floor prevents it being too candy, and I have always had a thing for chinoiserie style paintings or wallpaper.

I was looking for styling tips and this home has so many great vignettes.  Great collections of decorative objet and art, perfectly put together.

Antique silver, white porcelain and old fashioned roses.  I am struggling to imagine this house full of children, tell me your secret Christine!

Clever clever, the marble splash back has been finished with a small piece to create a shelf.  May have to copy that to finish the tile edge in my bathroom!  Would create the perfect space for candles and pretty bath products.  Careful editing on the shelves again.
Books, art, flowers, old mirror - so good!
All photos by Donna Griffith via Style at Home.
Have been toying with having a bench behind my dining table like this too.  It makes the narrow space seem generous and comfy instead of slightly awkward.

Is it too much for you or do you love it like I do?

in the pink.....again

I didn't have time to buy flowers.  I was to busy pinning.  Did I tell you I am being paid to pin?  Eva Burgess - social media and Pinterest strategist at your service.  How cool is that!
So its pink again.  Peonies with succulents in mercury glass, a vintage pink table via Design Sponge.
Do you ever crave a colour like this too?
Peonies in little buckets with vintage napkins, so lovely for an informal but special dinner.
The prettiest playroom storage I have ever seen - love the animal jars - but I bet it doesn't look like this every day.  Vintage sheets again, and finally a blossom and glass wedding display via

I think I may be all pinked out.

in the pink

Feeling the pinkness on Pinterest recently.  The Voice of Reason would veto these all but I think they are pretty.  I am going to buy the pinkest flowers I can find today - a pink fix with no commitment.

Clockwise from top left:  soft light from vintage lamp shades - how clever and pretty, gorgeous pink typewriter makeover from girl inspired, wish I had thought of using a zinc tub for a laundry sink, bird and roses watercolour on rice paper by Jinghua Gao Dalia on the Daily Paintworks

Had to add this from Greige by Design.

Love this colour blocking if you are lucky enough to have super high ceilings.
