On Monday we received a call from Stegbar saying that they would be installing the ensuite mirrors on Wednesday, early in the morning. On Tuesday, they called us to say that they will be unable to install them on Wednesday as promised because the backing boards they had made up were incorrect... Fine... They said they would make up new ones and install them on Thursday instead. This morning, two vans rock up. They unload all their tools and take them up the stairs and into the ensuite... They tried to put the backing board in and realised that the mirrors they made up were 6mm thick and that the backing board thickness that had been cut to measure would mean that the mirror would stick out past the tiles by a few mm. They asked if this is what we wanted, and of course, I said no. They said fair enough. So they packed up and left... They might make up new backing board and install it all on Friday... or maybe not? Some thing are just not meant to be...
Back to the concrete around the house issue ... I managed to get in touch with his admin person, who happens to be his sister. I told her what happened and she assured me that he would and will not do anything stupid. When we got home we saw that he had been there and cut up some of the concrete in preparation for its removal... Will see what happens next...
