2pac overhead cabinets are in at last! Still need to finalise the design for the floor to ceiling cabinet on the other side, but at least there has been SOME progress. Yay!
Oh, and still need to find the materials for the hanging rail underneath the overheads and a new pull down mixer tap...
Any styling tips would be greatly appreciated as always :)

Our first built-in robe/closet is IN!
We had our first built in installed yesterday. Yay! So it's not entirely finished as I still need to decide on the doors, but at least we've got something :)
We've had more progress over the last few months in the bathrooms and powder rooms. Our remaining shower screens and shower rails have been installed, as have the shower screens. We also had the remaining three mirrors above vanities installed but the vanities are yet to be made. I will post photos of the newly installed showers screens and rails as well as the mirrors soon :)
Oh, and our spa pump has finally been installed so we can now use it at last!
But there is more!!! Since the plumbers were here for the spa pump and shower rails MrB got them to install the downstairs powder room toilet roll holder and towel ring. If anyone is interested, there 70cm from the floor and 70cm from the back wall is the recommended spot for the toilet roll holder. Who knew? It sounded and suited good to me so we went with this :)
Oh! And the pantry, and laundry handles were installed yesterday too!

Powder room REVEAL
The powder room basin and tap were installed on Tuesday, at last! I got around to taking some photos yesterday so here they are! Hope you like them :)
The vanity was painted in 2 pack, Vivid White and the benchtop is Caesarstone Organic White. We went with floor to ceiling tiling, and the mirror above the vanity goes all the way up to the ceiling.

The light switch is by c-bus (Clipsal), the tap is Hansa, and the undermount sink and wall facing toilet are both from Caroma.

Baby steps... First internal doors - PAINTED
MrB painted the garage/shopper's entry and powder room doors & frames/architraves over the weekend. We fixed them back last night. They look amazing! They are gloss Vivid White. I love how they blend in with the walls. It looks very unusual after living with ugly doors for over a year. I am really looking forward to having them all painted :) - it will take a long time though ...
Oh, and our downstairs powder room vanity benchtop was installed on Friday and the plumber installed the tap and undermount basin this morning. Can't wait to get home and take some photos to share with you :)
Panorama shot taken with my iPhone. Not that great really...

Some action - at last :)
We've had some progress around the house :)
MrB painted the portico ceiling after work during the week and it's looking great. So much fresher!
He also fixed our old washing machine which had been sitting in the laundry since it blew up few months ago. It was only 4 years old and I won't go into the reasons as to why it blew up :)
We immediately bought a replacement one (exactly the same one as we were so happy with the original one) and planned on fixing the old one so I can have both darks and whites going at the same time.
Well we've now got two perfectly functioning washing machines and I am mega excited!
Also, I've booked the tiler for Sunday to finish off the laundry tiling. So excited that we are finally getting somewhere :)
But the thing is, I am unsure of how best to lay out the tiles, whether to go all symetric like we did in all the bathrooms, and have cuts on either ends... Or do we just start off at one end with un-cut tiles ....
Does this look ok? Whole tiles in the corner, and then cut ones near the architrave? The benchtop is 600mm wide and the tiles are 300x300 so along the short side it will perfectly fit 2 complete tiles.

MrB's creations
Look what MrB made for two of us on Friday night :)
Sushi Train's Ebi Fry copies.
I helped of course. We used the Japanese Panko bread crumbs as per FAUX FUCHSIA's recommendation :)
It was delicious! The prawns we used were huge so they weren't exactly bite size pieces like the originals. But we didn't complain :)
Although, MrB said that next time he will just get them from Sushi Train instead as it took almost two hours to make. Eeeeek!
A bit of a house progress update... Mr B installed the fence at the front of the house over the weekend. It was boiling hot. I heped by suppling him with delicious smooties though :)
Oh, and he continues to work on his car so this was the only thing he managed to do last week. Better than nothing I guess :)
Oh, do you like our curtains? :)

The prawns look a little burned in the photo but in reality they weren't :) |
