Where do you keep your vacuum cleaner and how often do you use it?

I like to have easy access to our vacuum cleaners so they are currently kept in the office/gym. However, this is their temporary home for them and I am hoping to find a more permanent one where they will be just as accessible.

Where do you keep your vacuum cleaner and how often do you use it?

I use the hand held one daily, which is why easy access is very important to me. The full size one I use ever other day or so, but I never move it. I use a swishy type mop to dust our timber floors but vacuum the cloth with a full size vacuum cleaner as soon as it gets a bit dusty. So once again, I like it to be permanently plugged in and ready to go.

I've considered keeping them in the pantry since we have power points in there but am thinking it's probably not a good idea to have dust blowing out of the vacuum where food is kept (packaged but still).

Originally the plan was to keep them in them in the laundry... But the floor to ceiling cabinet doesn't have any power points in it *CRY* and it might not be big enough for the full size one anyway :(

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

Target and Freedom glass canisters

Remember my Glass canisters for the laundry post? Well, I came across some in Target on sale for $10 each so I thought ... why not! They look great and I think I prefer them to the Freedom ones I bought for our ensuite some time ago. What do you think?

Ideally I would love a Large one for the regular laundry powder and would then use one of the Medium ones for the wooden pegs... But they didn't have any in stock :(

Fingers crossed I don't drop the lids any time soon :|

Wicker basket for our ensuite

I recently bought a couple of trays from Amazon. I planned on using them in the ensuite, to keep towels and my perfumes in. But, they are white! I mean seriously, what was I thinking! Ughhh! Wish I had checked with my bloggy friends before purchasing...as I am sure you would have talked me out of it. Oh, not only are they white, but they have curved edges and the handle cut outs are flush with the bottom... if that makes sense... Very annoyed with myself :(

So now, I need to get one that will look good in our ensuite. So ... would you recommend a basket or tray? Also, what size? Which one of these (if any) would you recommend? By the way, the gap between the two basins is 81cm.

I have managed to make some progress in the ensuite, which I am sure you will be proud of me for :)

I bought a couple of glass canisters from freedom. Note to self: myst buy more cotton balls, and figure out a way to make the cotton buds sit nicely in the jar...

I like these canisters so much I am considering buying them for the laundry as well, to keep napisan & regular laundry powder in... But because the glass (lids in particular) is not overly thick I am afraid it might break after a few uses :(

Oh, and I picked up our bedside tables yesterday. Hope to go and get the lamps today so I can upload some photos :)
