Non wall-to-wall semi wall-hung vanities

All our vanities will be semi-wall hung... Which I am fine with for the vanities that stretch from one wall to the other. However, we've got a couple of vanities, which do not stretch from one wall to the other, but instead there are toilet suites next to them. So, do you think we should "indent" the "base" of our semi wall-hung vanities on the sides that are next to the toilet suites? Or not? Below are images of what I mean by indent and not indent :)

Not indenting the "base" would make it flush with the vanity on top.
